That’s a hard one for me since I have read so many. I have seen a few responses to this one including The Alchemist, The Bible, The Fugitive.. etc. It really depends on my mood and my state of mind and as of this moment, I am more focused on output than more input.
Of course, I advocate reading in general as this is a necessary tool and has always been and it also allows us to view the world through a different lens other than our own.
For the Bible, I would say that taking a good look at the Book of Job is a good place to reflect at least for me. In that story, there is a lot of focus on how Job reacts to the circumstances that he was given, but my mind keeps going back to wonder about the human cost. He lost everything, yes we get that. He lost all of his children and his position in the world.
So my question is.. who were his children? What were they like? Did they also have children?
